Local Support and Sponsorship
Fighting food waste and supporting communitiesAll Continente, Modelo Continente and Continente Bom Dia stores have, at least, 1 local social solidarity or animal support institution to whom they donate their food surpluses. In the regions where they are, the stores contribute to the prevention of food waste while helping the population as well as animal welfare institutions to care for their four pawed friends.

Missão Continente Donation
Collected donation through the sale of Christmas solidarity gifts - mugs and bonbons. For each solidarity gift sold, Missão Continente donates € 1 to local social projects in the field of healthy food, fighting food waste and social inclusion.

Missão Continente School
Promoting healthy lifestylesMissão Continente School is an educational programme to help raise awareness amongst primary school students (aged circa 6 to 9 years old) on topics such as healthy nutrition habits and conscientious consumption. It covers modules such as healthy diets, food waste, and the excessive use of plastic.

Baby Well's
For a future with more babiesThe Baby Well's initiative, under the motto "For a future with more babies", was born in 2018 with the aim of bringing the birth issue to prominence in Portugal. In 2020, the banner Well’s donated more than 40,000 “Baby Well's Kits” nationwide. This means that more than 50% of babies born in Portugal benefited from the initiative during the period. Well’s also granted assistance to circa 50 babies from underprivileged families, covering all their hygiene, food, and childcare product requirements from birth until their first birthday.
